Bush propaganda on Iranian TV.

While I was flicking through the thousands of satellite channels I receive I came across a showing of "George W. Bush: Faith in the White House," a horrible piece of * propaganda on HOMA TV (http://www.iranian.com/News/2000/August/homa.html) a new satellite channel created by FAIRPAC (http://www.american-iranian.org/home.php?mains=10&subs=143) .
I thought that it was so funny to see the kind of rubbish these poor Iranian TV viewers have to put up with.

* is trumpeting his FUNDAMENTALIST CHRISTIANITY persona (because we all know he's only a Christian when he needs votes and there is a church and a photographer near by) to a country with countless FUNDAMENTALIST MUSLIMS who believe we are the infidels in the evil west?

2. Homa is aimed at Iranians living outside of Iran.

But yes the stupidity of it was too much I just had to laugh.
I had to watch about half of the propaganda documentary to check what kind of channel it was and that was painful.
If anyone here on DU has seen it they will tell you that it is just horrible, even Stalin couldn't have done better, it keeps on ranting about "faith based initiatives" and *'s faith, it's really sickening.
It even takes a shot at Moore's F 9/11.

5. Sounds like it's illegal, too. From homa webpage:

As satellite dishes are banned in Iran, FAIRPAC requests that all residence of Iran obey the law and receive the programming only if they hold the required permits. Iranians without permits can, however, subscribe to HOMA-TV as Prime subscribers and earn annual profit sharing rebates as well as the right to produce and submit their own programs.

But hey, they are only Iranian laws and don't Bush's law trump all?:sarcasm:

6. I wonder is American satellite should carry

a soft-focus look at those deeply spiritual Ayatollahs. You know, faith firmly at the heart of government and society - it would go down a storm with the Religious Right!
