Has Anybody Ever Interned For a Republican Senator or Congressman?
Were you ever given a hard time for your political views or did you keep them hidden (or were your views different at the time).
What was your experience like? Will they perhaps not hire you as an intern if you don't share their philosophy?
I ask only because a friend of mine who's a Democrat living in Indiana wants to know if she can intern with Lugar if Bayh's office is unable to take her.
1. That would be like leading with her chin, she would spend all....
...summer being alone, shunned and the focus of polite politically correct harassment. Advise against it, but instead find another democrat in the House or neighboring state.
...to take any position. Intern ships are springboards to bigger things. Possibly, she could work for a Dem in the future--with some excellent experience on her resume.
Working for any prominent politician as an intern would be an amazing opportunity. It could help her land a dream job with a Dem in the future.
