from the show's weekly email:

Welcome to another edition of the WILL-AM Media Matters email update!

We have two important announcements:

First, for those of our listeners who live in the area, please come
support the upcoming Media Consolidation Conference being held May 10-
11 in Urbana on the U of I campus. Check out the online schedule
http://www.iimpr.org/ and please spread the good word far and wide.

The conference is absolutely free and open to all!!!

Second, a special thanks to all who made last week's pledge drive yet
another record-breaking success! We received a grand total of 129
pledges. Those offering their support hailed from 37 cities, 6
states, and one came from as far afield as Groningen, Netherlands.

Media Matters could not survive without your generous
support!

TOMORROW'S GUEST

-------------------------------

Tomorrow's guest on Media Matters is Seymour Hersh. Hersh is an
investigative journalist and author who contributes regularly to The
New Yorker on military and security matters. His work first gained
worldwide recognition in 1969 for exposing the My Lai massacre and
its subsequent cover-up during the Vietnam War, for which he was
awarded the Pulitzer Prize for international reporting. Recently, his
reports uncovering details of torture at Abu Ghraib prison in Iraq
have gained much international attention. In 2004 he authored the
best-selling book, Chain of Command: The Road from 9/11 to Abu
Ghraib.

Thanks again for listening!
