German ambassador criticizes continued VE day celebrations
The German Ambassador has criticized the continued observances of VE day.

I agree with him. World War II has been over for 60 years and we have fought how many since? And West Germany was a very necessary partner in the Cold War.
I can see a 50th anniversary observance, but every year?
And as a side note, what does chimpie do? He manages to insult his buddy, Putiepute. Bush should limited his May celebrations to CincoDeMayo.

1. I agree but it will probably go on till last of that generation dies.
Certainly the Communist and Capitalists, American's, Brit's, Russian's and French have shown since the war that they could all be just as ruthless and genocidal as the Nazis. "Wars of Liberation" from all sides accompanied with pictures of children burned by napalm. Fallujah and Grozny. Guantanamo and Abu Ghraid. Etc.

Ironic as the US and Russia both slide toward Nazi style fascism.
