Our local newspaper started running her "column" in this Sunday's newspaper. I normally avoid anything with her name on it, but my husband said I really should read it.

Its a diatribe about how mean all those liberals are to Tom Delay and Mr. Bolton because neither of them have committed a crime, but are simply being persecuted (that's the nutshell version). Oh, and the obligatory "Clinton was bad" sentence.

So, I'm starting to think that some nice men in white coats should take Ann to a nice, soft room where she can't hurt herself!

Of course, my husband thinks that people will read this and begin to see the RW for what it is.

Sadly, he has more faith in people's intelligence than I do.

But now that the local girl has made good--far beyond anyone's expectations down at the general store--we like to say that it all began with these hazy summer evenings, when Ann would scream bloody murder and blast away at phantom assailants thronging invisibly in the backyard, and her family and guests would pretend not to hear.
