ANOTHER potential backlash for Bush???
MSNBC - Ashleigh Banfield .... in the hurricane area they are short of Natl. Guardsmen because 1/3rd of them are in Iraq.... If problems arise because of this - could this cause another big backlash for Bush?

If Virginia and a group of the "red" Bush states get p.o.'d at the admin because of this it could be disaster for him. Heaven forbid this should happen in South Carolina - a strategic state - especially for Republicans.

In addition, in another strategic state - Florida - this may make many Floridians a little alarmed. We have a lot of old folks down here who are already jumpy - many who were down here when the BIG hurricane hit. What would happen if we get a hurricane in Florida?

I hope the Dems make a big stink out of this. C'mon Bob Graham. We should flood Graham and the rest of the Dems in the hurricane states with e-mails.

1. "Flood" them with emails?
That's quite a pun! What really infuriates me is that the regular enlisted soldiers are only being deployed for a year, while the reservists, who did NOT sign on for this kind of extended duty, are being told to prepare for much longer stays. Yep, there's that Bushista compassion and support for troops in action again!

2. The Iraq Quagmire ...
seems to be sucking the resources out of a number of other efforts. Even the bogus "War on Terror". While I belive that the hunt for Osama is the most important thing that must be accomplished. As long as we are in Iraq, this will never happen.

Cheers

3. Yes including plywood for people to safeguard their homes
Bush* has stripped our safety curtain apart and sent it to Iraq. People are no longer able to protect their homes properly becuase of an Illegal war put forth by a corrupt administration. "You gots to suffa if you wants to sing the blues."
