A republican take on the released Memo.
So I was talking on the phone this afternoon with my republican aunt and i told her about the memo(which she had no idea about) and the facts, etc. Her response:

Oh Carla, you haven't lived what i have. All the presidents do this to go to war and it is obvious that Bush did this so he could liberate the Iraqui people. He did this so he could save them.

After she told me that i just felt like shoving a Q-Tip in my ear Freddy Krueger style. It does not matter what Bush does they will always find a way to justify it. It is absolutely exhausting.

1. So uninformed, it's pathetic! And where might your
aunt be getting her news?

2. Just stop trying to explain astrophysics to retards.
These people are brainwashed, and now their pride won't allow them to acknowledge simple facts. Let them languish in ignorance.

5. what we need to say is the SS check ain't coming cause we to pay for the
war---that would get a few of them riled. wonder what they would say then. I am referring to these older folks who love Bush and think he is a liberator. There ARE so many of them (not to say that the younger population is not the same way)---but the older folk now feel safe that Bush says-your SS check is in the mail.

7. Hardly any news...
She hardly watches any news at all. Its all because she "loves" America, my deeply homosexually repressed uncle told her that Bush was great, and she is to busy working to have the time to question anything that happens.

4. Gotta laugh at this one...
I had a great aunt who thought Nixon sat at the right hand of God; she even had a sort of shrine to him on her living room wall. Even during the height of the Watergate dust-up absolutely nothing could convince her that Tricky Dick had done anything wrong. She was convinced he'd been framed. The Bushbots are even worse. It wouldn't matter if he confessed to everything on national television while doing crack and buggering a Boy Scout. Somehow he'd have an excuse. The Boy Scout was asking for it, and anyhow he was doing it to save America.

10. Will the majority of Amerikans..
give a damn about this? I don't feel that they will. There will be a slew of rationalizations about it for a week and things will go back to complacency. I have no idea what it would take for most Amerikans to wake up to the crimes of the Bush Junta and it's war on non-wealthy, non-rabid RW Xtians, and Liberals. The Cold Civil War goes on and the Dems are mostly complicit with the Bush Junta agenda.

14. Just another chink in the armor
We can't defeat Bush. We can't destroy him. But with enough of these stories we can distract him from his efforts to break into the church and steal all the money from the collection plates and the poor box.

11. We should start telling people...
...that say shit like this, "Your neighbor has a gun, and he plans on shooting you, your family, and your dog. But the police won't arrest him, so you'd better give me your money and oil, and I'll make sure he doesn't kill you." A few weeks later, if it's mentioned, take credit for making the person safe, and hit them up for another 86 billion dollars.

16. People are afraid to damage their ego
Were that to happen, they'd be forced to face the truth and that's much too daunting of a task for most people.

Only the strong of mind and soul have the courage to question themselves.

17. bush didn't say squat about liberating Iraqis in his rush to war.
Always take the opportunity to remind people that bush pounded the WMD drum and rang the 9/11 bell.

Americans would never have gone to war just to liberate Iraqis. That's asinine. If so, why aren't we sending our mighty military machine to Sudan? What's Rumsfeld's plan for Darfur?
