Who the heck was that obnoxious Jiminy Glick person
on Larry King last night? I'm not a King fan but was channel surfing and came across that trainwreck of a humanbeing while doing so. I rubbernecked a few minutes and told myself to "Change. the. channel." Is Glick a New York somethingorother, or a West Coast somethingorother? I'd never seen him before.

2. Thanks. I didn't know that.
I'd never heard of the character then. Musta been busy. Is the character from a movie or from a comedy routine?

3. I think it was an SNL character that he has developed on his own
Personally, I don't think its a funny schtick, so I don't know why he does it....Martin Short is a talented actor, he doesn't need this Jiminy Glick to "make it"...in fact, if he plays this character too much, his career may suffer for it....

But hey, I could see how if you were channel surfing and came across that character, you'd keep on surfing....I would....

4. It's a character from a discontinued show
on Comedy Central. "Jiminy" (aka Short) would do interviews of celebrities, and skits. It was occasionally hilarious. Short's been making the rounds recently, hyping a DVD. He was on The Daily Show a night or two ago.

6. I'm embarrassed to say I find it humorous
It's irrational and goes on at great length, you see. Struck me as a funny thing to tack on the end of a post. I think the fact that I'm currently re-reading Berlinski's A Tour of the Calculus probably had something to do with it.
