Could this be why they witchhunted Clinton?
I'm listening to the Majority report and Jeanane told how Clinton wanted to make the Pentagaon responsible and get rid of the "no-bid" contracts. He didn't get to it for some reason but they knew of his plans to get rid of all that and get rid of the ordeal that lets them get all this money and not be held responsible for it.

2. I thought it was from his stance on suing the tobacco
companies. Every time the justice department won another case, the stain stories would just saturate the corporate media. But this certainly has some merit for thought too. Don't forget that we almost got comprehensive health care, which was also really hated. Those damn "sins" just kept on coming!

4. That could be it too
I'm sure there were several reason's. Remember though the neocons are very pro-war and he was wanting to do a big no-no in the neocons eyes. I agree with that though. So Clinton definietly wasn't one of them either. I always thought they just went after him because he was democratic but all this other stuff comes into mind and it makes perfect sense. I still wonder if Lewinsky was a plant by the neocons. Maybe I need: :tinfoilhat: for that part.

8. The Monica Lewinsky story emerged right after the lawsuit against the...
tobacco companies was announced, but the original poster here has raised a great point, as well.

3. From what I understand, Clinton postponed the PNAC agenda

when he beat daddy Bush and they wanted revenge for that. He set them back 4 years, then 8........they were NOT happy campers. The whole Clinton witchhunt was planned the day the repukes found out he was running for prez. I've read this in David Brock's book, "Blinded by the Right" and in Joe Conason's book, "The Hunting of the President.". I imagine his plans to get rid of "no bid" contracts just encouraged MORE investigations. They really didn't need a reason. They just wanted him OUT.

edited because I forgot to put the name of Conason's book :hi:

6. I always just assumed it was to innoculate us against impeachment ideas
Since they knew when they next came to power they'd be committing impeachable offenses all over the place.

Which reminds me of a disgusting and true story. A friend of a friend had a dog get bad diarrhea in the cab of a truck. It was everywhere, apparently the dog was very sick and very anxious to find a way out. So, the friend took care of the dog, cleaned the cab. Then later, turned on the heater. And what comes flying out the vent? More doggie diarrhea.
