How long do you think it will be before the Abu Ghraib techniques
become commonplace in U.S. prisons?

2. or before our g.i.'s are subjected to similar techniques?
oh the outrage if photos surfaced of this type of deviancy being done on our own soldiers, boys and girls from duluth.

but, it's fair game now that the antiquated and quaint geneva conventions have been ridiculed and tossed out.

8. Sexual humiliation and harrassment have been in the military for a while
It just seems now they have perfected the technique.

3. They were exported there from here
Sgt. Grainer, the first conviction, was a prison guard in civilian life. Was just doing there what he did here.

7. Yep And Yep!
Prison scenarios breed brutality. We do not work anywhere near hard enough to stop such acctivity in OUR prisons. I certainly wasn't surprised to see it show up in our secret gulags.

6. That same mentality has always existed in American prisons
One differnce is that American prisons have always allowed the prisoners to assist with maintaining "order" by not punishing prisoner on prisoner sexual abuse. I guess prison isn't all cable t.v. and weightlifting after all.

9. I think many up high positons think it is fine (like O"Lielly)--The trans-
ator who was on 60 minutes last night-the one who discussed in detail some the sexually implicit details of the interogration tried to convince Bill O. it was not ok--but he lost.

10. I've heard some horror stories (pre 9/11)
right here where I live and they were told to me by an ex-police officer. Let's just say that from what he told me, racism is definitely something that is widespread in our local police force here. I see that from some of the things he said and did, and I am not even black...
