You can FAKE your disappearance, let the media cover it to their heart's content, let your fiance or whoever provide lots of pretty pictures of you to CNN and FOX when you go "missing."

Then when you show up, get before the microphones and recite HOWARD BEALE'S NETWORK SPEECH followed by reciting the names of ALL THE DEAD SOLDIERS IN IRAQ.

Open your speech "Before I tell you about my ordeal I'd like to say a few words to you fucking media FUCKS."

No law would be broken and you can finally stick it to the Repuke loving media fucks.

99.9 percent of the time when an adult disappears, the media and the police refuse to do anything. I once disappeared for some time. I was young (late teens), white, and blonde. If you think disappearing is the short path to media attention, I can assure you that you are wrong. I do not know why the police even allowed the family to file a police report. Most of the time they tell you it is not a police matter and you must hire your own private investigator unless you have solid evidence of a crime. Good Lord. Actual teens, much less adults, take off every day, and the police and media do nothing.

and didn't post/hijack a thread on it...

you'd need about 1000 volunteers, across the country, and calling into small news orgs first, leading up to larger groups.
Have enough similarities in the story to keep the MSM confused and running with it as details came in and culminate with as many possible 'beales' reciting at the same time (in case CNNMSNBCABCCBSFAUX jerked the plug, smaller news orgs would still be airing it).

but yeah, it could work. Blowback big time.
