.."Wrap this up...we don't have a lot of time left"....
Edited on Sun Jul-13-03 12:41 PM by SoCalDem

How many times have we heard this??? Millions.. My question is THIS.. If you are a NEWS STATION, and there is NEWS, WHY don't you have TIME to cover it???

I have seen CNN/MSGOP/FAUX/ and all the others break into "regular programming" and cover a car chase for hours,or to
"go live" to a courtroom in Texas,Calif,(insert any state here) to hear testimony about the murder du jour, but when someone is making a salient point about our NATIONAL SECURITY, they have 45 seconds to make their point..

Something is seriously WRONG, here folks..

1. Here's what you just did...
You started giving a really good sermon, and then you turned around to face the folks in choir robes right behind you.

:-)

2. I have written to them all, and it's just so damned frustrating
:(

That's what I love about the BBC.. During the "war" they had some roundtable discussions that went on until the people were hoarse from all the talking..

It's just all so sad that here, we cannot seem to break through..

3. Saw news in Europe before the war
They actually had roundtable discussions with British administration officials, politicians, academics and regular folks asking questions about the possible war and whether or not it should be done with/without UN auspices... They took all the time they needed and everyone got a chance to speak for or against. You could then form your own informed opinion.

Too bad we gotta look overseas to see how a Democracy is supposed to work.
