I just got home - how was the press conference?
Did the reporters ask any tough questions? I can guess how well Bush would answer, I'm just wondering if the press is getting back to doing their jobs.

2. Softball questions it sucked
It wasnt the fact that they were all softball scripted questions, it wasnt the fact that they were all laughing at his lame jokes, for me the reason that it sucked, was not one Journo asked him to produce hard data and numbers to back up his claims.

That is the very first thing you are taught as a reporter.

It was awful.

5. I liked the way the NCLB is working is because we're measuring.
After all, it is working because we're measuring.

6. "Jumped the shark" comes to mind.
For both Bush and the WH press 'corpse.'

It was bad and embarrassing.

7. i thought that about 20 or 30 minutes into the press conference
he seemed to tire from the effort of answering questions and trying to be coherent. Also I noticed that his answers were empty sets of sentences strung together all the same sentence but with different orders of the words. No real mention of a person or statistics. Not nearly what I would call a presidential news conferences. You should have seen the ones with President Kennedy.

8. I thought the press did much better than I've seen them with the shrub
they didn't ask the really great questions and he didn;t adequately answer any questions but they did ask about

pullout in iraq
low low polls
ss not popular
religion being USED
N Korea
troop shortage
high gas
they mentioned that terrorism is higher now, how can he explain that?
they mentioned that the insurgency is still about the same strength as when they started.

so while they didn't really get down on him, they did bring up many of the problems the shrub is causing. I myself, believe that the worm has turned. We just have to keep this little snowball going.

I say bush will be out by fall.

I'ts all starting to crumble

It's happening.
