Some more info and links there too. Sad and scary.

What Democrats Still Don't Get

Laura Ingraham

October 11, 2004

Top Democrats advising the Kerry campaign are scratching their heads raw this week, trying to figure out why John Kerry--even with solid debate performances under his belt and continuing violence in Iraq--still is still having such a hard time convincing voters he would be a more effective commander-in-chief than George Bush. But the answer is actually fairly simple. Kerry--like all doves--is unpersuasive on national security issues because he doesn't realize certain basic truths that have guided American policy for decades. These are:

1. The world is a dangerous place, filled with deadly people. Not just people who are misunderstood. Not just people who are poor. Not just people who have different "values." After 3,000 of our fellow citizens were incinerated on September 11th by Islamist mass murderers, John Kerry can still tell the New York Times Magazine this week that "e have to get back to the place we were, where terrorists are not the focus of our lives, but they're a nuisance." How amazingly irresponsible and stunningly stupid. Deadly people with the means and commitment to inflict large casualties on U.S. citizens will never just be nuisances. President Bush knows this. The American people know it. American liberals don't...

8. Cancer is NOT due to karma
We are insulting ALL persons with cancer with such remarks. I know they are likely in jest because we are talking about a RW conservative who spreads hate...BUT she IS still a human being.

I don't wish suffering on anyone, even those I vehemently disagree with.

12. Right
They have family and loved one's too. Does she have any kids? I don't know much about her. Cancer is rough on a family. My grandfather has it now but luckily he's doing pretty well.

14. I Agree -- Nobody DESERVES It, I Wish Her The Best
That's awful to suggest that it's some kind of a payback, for her or anybody. I know so many of my friends going through this, I can only guess the posters were very young and callous and think they will live forever.

9. I wish her well
I do. I don't wish that on anyone, but I'm confident that a woman such as her, who has access to the best health care money can buy (unlike millions of Americans) will beat this disease.

11. There is a contact button on her home page.
I sent her a note explaining I am a liberal and that I hope she gets better. I don't know if cnacer will change her any but it can not hurt to let her know we are NOT the enemy. It was worth a try.
