Pizza delivery guy gave me hope!
I opened my door and there stood my pizza delivery guy smiling. He said he loved my bumper stickers and that he was a democrat as well. I told him about this site and how great you all are. He said he does not have a computer any more due to the Bush economy! We talked about that a little and then he spoke up to say that he felt the last election was stolen and the one before that! I explained I had read pages and pages about that and I believed the last honestly elected president was Clinton. The man smiled and said Clinton was his guy.

I can not explain how much hope it gives me that someone without a computer and someone about as old as this guy was (maybe 50's?) believes the same thing a lot of do. I always felt the general public did not have a good idea of what is going on due to the government propaganda news, but this truly gives me hope. I even upped the tip for him!

One medium one topping pizza : 9.62
Delivery to your door: Free
Knowing that the truth is getting to the public : Priceless!!!!!

1. A customer who talks about politics and doesn't tip the pizza
delivery guy = a bad day at work.

5. There was no indication of a tip in the original post. "Bad day
at work" was the pizza delivery guy's because he didn't get a tip.

"I even upped the tip for him!"

Go back and look at it. And she hasn't even edited it or anything. It was there all along.

Why not? I appreciate it and they deserve it. Bet the rich folks the deliver to barely tip. I appreciate them bringing my pizza to the door hot!

We give a nice little tip now days cause of the gas prices. My mom is always thoughtful about that. :) Gas has gone down a little bit but still pricy for my area.

10. See above. The cynic in me suspects the delivery guy, if he
saw a W'04 sticker in the driveway, might have said * was chosen by God to lead our nation in these troubled times. Let's hope I'm wrong.

22. It's sad, but most of the pizza delivery drivers around here are
in their 50s or 60s and are supplementing another job or working as pizza delivery drivers because they CAN'T find a job in their field and they have to do something to eat.

27. Ah, the joys of life in Bushworld. Don't order pizza delivered
much so I am not sure of the circumstances here, although FL has plenty of old guys. The upside probably is that they are safer drivers than the young kids, if you are inclined to look for silver linings.

No problem. I was amazed at the person who showed up at my door. Usually there is a young 20 something male and that kind of caught me off guard. But this is the new Amerika with Bush's thriving economy. Three jobs is so uniquely American!!!!

44. They have to charge so much for a used computer that they
can't compete with the new ones, which keep getting cheaper and cheaper. I just gave away a PC to some snowbird neighbors who will keep it her to use in the Winter. The last one I set up in the yard with a "free" sign on it and it was hours before someone took it.

45. There may be used computer stores....
but if you don't have the money then you can't do much of anything these days. I am not even sure how pizza delivery people can afford to do their job with gas prices being what they are. Sooner or later the stores will have to charge for delivery because they will have to pay the drivers to keep them.

20. I did tip the guy!
Just wanted you all to know that I did tip the guy. Delivery is free and I was just sort of having fun with the Visa commercial. I was only planning a small tip since that is all I get reimbursed for. (I ordered the pizza as part of my job of evaluating the pizza establishment) So the only real part I paid for was that of the tip. The company pays for the rest so I thought I would be very generous.

I definitely make less than you LOL

I always tip 4 bucks on like a sixteen dollar ticket--(the delivery guy is probably living laughing his ass off at me lol)

Edited because I am so stupid that the whole tab is twenty bucks with tip-- but the food is usually 16 (DUH!)

34. Great!
Glad to hear. If you keep up with the news and poll numbers and things like that it isn't quite too hard to figure out. I just don't see how the republicans could've won this last election myself. I know they stole it but your average joe might be curious because of recent poll numbers. I think more people are on our side then we know. They're doing the old conqure and divide thing. They control the media and who gets on there and what stories are told so of course it would appear that we're few in numbers. Then when they release poll numbers we're shown that people are more with us on anything. Has anybody had any experience with republicans and if they think the election was stolen?

I can get you in touch with this guy. The great thing about being a mystery shopper is I have to take note of everything from the driver to his vehicle to whether there was sign on top. I could let you know the store and other information. BY the way, needless to say if you did this, you would not give details to let him know he was shopped.....I am actually doing this gig for the COMPETITOR! I am not supposed to expose myself in any way even though it is another chain getting my information.

I'm sure you made his day, too. Had a similar experience (I work at the dreaded call center of a bank)talked to a 70 year old man. He just started talking about how we were in Iraq for oil and the media is worthless. This was right after the election and I needed some camaraderie. Always good to remember we are not crazy liberals, but half the country!
