screwing them over puts it ligtly mate. Bliar has gone around privatising everything the tories never had the guts to get at and refusing to give an inch to the union movement. As a result, almost all the major unions are electing far-left (borderline Marxists) candidates to be general secretary, and the railway workers union is on the verge of disaffiliation! The Labour party membership has dropped from 400,000 to 250,000 in the last few years, and unions are still ~40% of the general party conference, but Bliar doesn't seem to give a damn.
The thing is, Bliar a centre-right politician in charge of a largly left-wing party. But its very difficult to do anything about it because there is no credible progressive alternative. It has taken 6 years of ditching every traditional labour ideal for things to come to a head here. Bliarisation stands for removal of choice, plain and simple.
