Laura Bush appears on Tonight Show in attempt to pull up Dubya's ratings?
Since Laura is mostly popular with the public and Dubya is somewhat in the ditch, it appears from this untrained eye that this little appearance may have been planned by Rove and the White House PR team, including Dubya. Dubya hopes to vicariously draw some of that support from Laura since this is the lowest he has been since he stole the election in 2000.. Laura in Hollywood!

BURBANK, Calif. (AP) - Despite her popularity, first lady Laura Bush says she's not interested in running for higher office.

Bush made the declaration Tuesday, telling ``Tonight Show'' host Jay Leno that she has no aspirations for holding office and doesn't even pay much attention to her approval ratings - though she tracks her husband's.

The first lady's approval rating hovered around 80 percent in February, according a USA TODAY/CNN/Gallup Poll, the most recent taken. By contrast, the president's overall approval rating is at 47 percent, a Washington Post-ABC News poll released Tuesday shows.

and he got to Jane Fonda, he said, "Jane Fonda, she's a liberal but she's a nice person anyway."

Leno is a dirty filthy scumbag.

3. I saw a clip of it, she looked very good
Whoever has been nipping, tucking and styling her is doing a good job of it. Nice outfit, nice hair, she looked fit and pulled together, though a little....what's the word? Not really medicated...SERENE. Yeah, serene.

And it really isn't a serene venue.

But from what little I saw of it, she seemed to aquit herself well enough.

I'm one of those who feels sorry for her. Who would want to be related to that husband of hers, and to be married to him has to be beyond horrific...

Watching this intellectually-unstimulating, ineffectual, do-nothing Stepford first lady is just the thing to boost her hubbie's approval ratings all the way up to 48%.

:eyes:

7. ...more like "Jay Leno hosts Laura Bush to smother her ass with kisses"
It certainly seems like he does an awful lot to prop up the current administration--then again, I might think differently if he'd stop having Dennis Miller on every other week.
