Why is it?

Why do some democrat senators and environmentalist oppose drilling and refining in this country,
complain about air pollution and gas consumption, but yet drive SUV's and fly on private jets??

But the point is valid. If we were to slam every instance of hypocracy in every person on earth, all we would be doing is complaining about everyone else's lack of ideological purity.

If they are better than the alternative, that's good enough for me right now.

... but (though not a senator) I couldn't "get" a hybrid, so I drive a midsize (need to be able to fit the kids in the car) 5-speed with good gas mileage.
