Because you are a bunch of backwards, hateful, ignorant redneck bigots!!!!!

Keep passing those hate laws against gay adoption and gay marriage...

and the world community will keep fleeing from your stupid compassionless hypocritical HELL HOLE.

Please please, seceede from the union, Texas, and take your thousands of topless bars and strip clubs with you.. America will be all the better for it,

(DUers, progressives, and oppressed people of good hearts, excluded from rant, of course.)

wealthy, greedy, self-absorbed bigots who attend churches that allow them to rationalize their immoral behavior. These are the people that are PAYING for this F**ING FASCISM.

(DUers, progressives, and oppressed people of good hearts excluded, of course.)

BTW, it's "secede".

3. Yeah, I'm from Texas, but I can't blame Norma R for feeling as
she does. I was going to add that the mean IQ of the nation would go up about ten points if Texas would secede. (Of course, we have some really bright DUers from Tx.)

I think the fact that Houston is hot and humid and everyone would croak has alot to do with it. Summer is almost unbearable, IMO. Houston also has poor air quality, IIRC.

4. I'm not backward, hateful, ignorant, nor
redneck. I also don't agree with what's going on, but it's not just Texas. And I'm also not a bigot.
It sucks, or we can try to make it better. Your choice.

But its going to Beijing in 2008. Not exactly a bastion of progressive thought. So its probably more along the lines that Beijing bribed the Olympic officials more than Houston did.

Edited on Tue Apr-26-05 10:42 PM by LibInTexas
It's not perfect here, no. In the next few years this is going to be a very progressive state. The population is changing daily.

Take your rant to Ohio or Florida, those states will be entrenched for decades in repukes and corruption.

Oh yeah, edit to tell you Norma, that I pushed the alert button and I have almost never done that.

15. Progressive state????
Texas will remain a right wing bastion for at least a decade, probably more. The only thing that will change that is an economic meltdown. Demographics won't do it alone. These sheeple are loco.

17. You know this how?
Sheeple are loco. I agree.

They all don't live here though. There are many through out the country.

You're city and mine (Dallas) are becomming more and more filled with diverse populations. Austin, is a bastion of liberalism.

Dallas county was very close to going to Kerry in the last election. It's a matter of a few years. This is, and has been, a state in flux, since the '80's when I arrived. It is now fluxing back.

Forget Delay and the fact the Bush's are from here...we have the likes of Richardson and Hightower. It's slow, but not as entrenched, as say, Florida. THAT place is a mess!

If you're going to post stupid, pointless, divisive, flamebait like this, at least have the guts to fill in your profile.
