I was marooned in Houston for 10 long fucking years.
I'm in Michigan now, and there are still pig fucking neocons all over the place, but I got to tell you, I would burn my house to the ground and live under a freeway bridge before I would go back to Texas.

And I've been homeless, so I know how bad that would be. I know Texans their home, and I'm not picking on them particularly, but I've heard a few of them lately say how they won't be driven from their home: I'm sure a Jew in 1939 Krakow couldn't have put it better.

At the grand old age of 52 I've come to realize that PEOPLE are the reason for home: a place is just a place. I am leaving AGAIN to go to a small, liberal riding in Ontario, so that I may be amidst PEACE once again. I only hope I'm going far enough that when the WORLD decides that they have had entirely enough of the United States, the fuckers that run it and the fools that let them, that I won't be downwind.

2. You deserve to live where you are
happiest. And it's all the more sweeter now that you have put your time in someplace that wasn't up to your standards of a healthy environment!:)

3. Home is where your heart is....
Mine happens to be in Texas right now, Austin to be specific.... One of the only "Blue" counties in the whole state... *grin...

Alas, I digress.... In a few years my lady, our critters, and I will be living in the mountains of New Mexico. Out of sight and out of ear shot of most of the human race....

Retirement is a wonderful thing.... *smile.

5. I do miss Austin.
I just wouldn't live in Texas again just to visit or even live in Austin.

I would view it like living on a beautiful island in the middle of the most polluted lake in the world.

4. Betrayal
Those that have not yet felt what comes with finding that the government has abandoned the path to the common good, it will come. For the ignorant that cannot see the destruction behind us, the discovery will still come. It may take millions of testimonials at a future Betrayal.com, but the sense of betrayal of government will reach even the ignorant in short order.

When the government instist on arresting you for smoking laughing grass while avoiding all discussion of alcoholism, you would think that would be sign enough that the country has gone to hell.
