Chimp bastard laughs at father's "awesome" re-deployment to Iraq
Edited on Tue Apr-26-05 08:35 PM by jefferson_dem
From today’s Social Security event in Galveston, Texas:

MR. BENTLEY: And we’re operating in central Iraq. I’ll be back there next week.

THE PRESIDENT: How many children you got?

MR. BENTLEY: We have two children. We have a four-year-old son named Patrick, and a three-month-old daughter named Elaine that I just got to meet for the first time.

THE PRESIDENT: Really?

MR. BENTLEY: Yes, sir.

THE PRESIDENT: No wonder you’re emotional. (Laughter.) That’s awesome.

MRS. BENTLEY: She was born two days after he deployed.

THE PRESIDENT: Yes, great.

2. I just. I just don't have words anymore.
I really don't. No words. Didn't he laugh about a mom who had three jobs and no health coverage right before the election?

And this?

He has no sense of social skills at ALL. No sense of humanity. So narcissictic and fucked up in the head he can't even HEAR what he says or notice what he does.

It's just a head-dropping, shameful moment when I think about it all.

4. His comment to the woman with three jobs was
"That's great <chuckle, chuckle, accompanied by the Alfred E. Newman smirk>. Only in America."

Like having to work 3 jobs is something we should be proud of.

10. He was off script
*All* of his pseudo-townhall meetings come complete with a script. You can tell when someone starts to ad lib, Bush* has no clue what to say and drops into 2-3 word sentences and giggling.

THE PRESIDENT: Yes, but nevertheless, there's a certain comfort to know
that the promises made will be kept by the government.

MS. MORNIN: Yes.

THE PRESIDENT: And so thank you for asking that. You don't have to worry.

MS. MORNIN: That's good, because I work three jobs and I feel like I
contribute.

THE PRESIDENT: You work three jobs?

MS. MORNIN: Three jobs, yes.

THE PRESIDENT: Uniquely American, isn't it? I mean, that is fantastic that
you're doing that. (Applause.) Get any sleep? (Laughter.)

8. Quote here
He apparently doesn't listen (or understand )what people are saying.

DUBYA: Mary is with us. Mary Mornin. How are you, Mary?
MS. MORNIN: I'm fine.
DUBYA: Good. Okay, Mary, tell us about yourself.
MS. MORNIN: Okay, I'm a divorced, single mother with three grown, adult children. I have one child, Robbie, who is mentally challenged, and I have two daughters.
. . .
DUBYA: There's a certain comfort to know that the promises made will be kept by the government.
MS. MORNIN: Yes.
DUBYA: And so thank you for asking that.
You don't have to worry.
MS. MORNIN: That's good, because I work three jobs and I feel like I contribute.
DUBYA: You work three jobs?
MS. MORNIN: Three jobs, yes.
DUBYA: Uniquely American, isn't it? I mean, that is fantastic that you're doin' that. Get any sleep?
-- Dubya takes pride in the fact that in America, this woman has to work three jobs to stay afloat (By the way, the bit that is underlined is a bit of conversation that never happened, but ended up in the official White House transcript anyway), Omaha, Nebraska, Feb. 4, 2005

13. How many children you got?
His in-your-face ignorance is really grating, and it's scripted. Sure, I know Bush is a dumbass, but his handlers aren't, and they have him spewing this drivel to appeal to a base that apparently wants someone as dumb as they are running the country.

Oh, and Mr. Bentley? It's clear you're a Bush shill, or you never would've been invited to the fake town hall, nor would you have been chosen to ask any scripted questions. With that in mind, I hope you get to see your new daughter again one day soon. Your president has sent you and others to make war on innocents, and many of them will never see their baby daughters again. Time to wake up, Mr. Bentley, and think about the unspeakable horrors that your president has visited on so many families, and he's using you and your comrades to commit these atrocities.
