Phoney But Funny Zaraqawi Get Away Video On Countdown
Edited on Tue Apr-26-05 07:39 PM by cryingshame
Zaraqawi got away again dagnamit!

But THIS time the US has fake computer animated video reenacting his getaway!

Yes, that's right. Countdown showed the computer animation detailing how Zaraqawi was being driven in a pick up truck with a sports car ahead of him...

At the check point, the sports car was stopped...

And the pick up truck with Zaraqawi made a quick U-turn and took off with US forces in pursuit...

But that crafty Zaraqawi jumped out under an overpass and eluded US forces yet again.

BUT WAIT! US forces finally got the truck and driver and found Zaraqawi's 'brain' or computer.

:eyes:

This was so freaking stupid it's an insult to Americans to expect us to believe this crap.

they don't even bother trying to make the propoganda believable anymore.

3. The US has revised its earlier intelligence on a leg amputation.
Apparently the whole, "Zarqawi fled the battlefield in Afhganistan to have his leg amputated in Baghdad" story was likely not true. It had to be because otherwise we've been outwitted by the one-legged version of Mohammed Bond.

4. OK, I've been under a rock all day ... humor me
Did "the government" actually produce an animated video to show what they say happened to Zarqawi? Or was this Keith and friends just joshin' around?

If it's the former (which I fear), then oh dear oh dear oh dear.

6. ABC News showed an animated video last night.
I didn't see if that was what Olberman showed but it sure sounds like it.

12. Hey! That was every bit as believable as their other animation!
Remember the "extraction" animation of the rescue of Private Lynch? It was a hoot! They had these huge, animated choppers setting down outside the hospital, commandos jumping out and exchanging heavy fire with unseen antagonists while another cadre stormed the hospital, unerringly went to Lynch's hospital room, blew past the terrorist doctors, nurses and orderlies of Al Qaeda General Hospital, and loaded the supine Lynch onto the chopper, and away!

I don't recall what ABC's explanation was later when the real story came out, but I'm sure it was a doozy. Or, they just hoped that no one remembered it, which I think is more likely, considering that they put that equally fanciful animation of Zarqawi's escape on the air.
