Why can't we nominate Jon Stewart as the Democratic Candidate for
the Presidency in 2008? I think he will make one heckava candidate and quite likely beat the pants off any Republican.

1. Because then he couldn't be funny any more
...and laughter is like air and water, you need it.

14. Bush is pretty funny, although I haven't laughed at him for about 3 years.
He has to be a joke. The people in this country couldn't possible have elected him for any other reason since he's not qualified to do anything.

10. Have you seen Jon argue complex issues on his show? He shows
a better grasp of issues than the Chimp or any of the shills of our Press.

11. Leave Jon where he is. The Repuke
character assassination machine would rip him to shreds in no time. He is best where he is standing on the sidelines making fun of them, making them squirm. Let seasoned politicians handle the Repuke attack machine instead, with Jon's help in pointing out the obvious stupidity of the other side.

earlier this evening. He's super smart, a great kid, and an iffy student. Really like him. He's wondrously cool with his baby sister. Always a good sign. He and I were discussing the Daily Show for some strange reason. He said, "that dude is so much smarter than anyone else who reports the news. And he's on the fake news."

Out of the mouth of babes. . .

18. Because he's a comedian for chris'sake!
If you want someone from the entertainment world, Jerry Springer would be a better choice. At least he really seems to know his shit. And on top of that, he may bring tons of white-trash repukes over to our side.
