Buzzflash Viewership Compared with FAUX, CNN & MSNBC.....Good News?
Maybe I'm making an unfair comparison here....not a math or statistical person, but are these numbers something that should have us up and cheering?

"Buoyed by the war in Iraq, CNN's average viewership of 761,000 this year is
up 42 percent from last year, according to Nielsen Media Research. But the gap
with Fox has only widened; Fox's average of 1.15 million viewers is up 73
percent. MSNBC has averaged 373,000 viewers, up 40 percent. "

1. Nah - you can't compare BuzzFlash's #'s with those other numbers.
You've got apples and oranges here.

2. Yeah.......that's what I thought.......still.....
It's amazing how low the viewership is for "the Big Three." And, that CNN keeps losing viewers and has now reorganized again!

4. The 3 cable networks are over rated
Combined, less than 1% of the population is watching them at a given time. Only junkies are typically viewing unless there is a big story.

What Tom, Peter, or Dan say, as well as what Jay, Conan, Dave, and Jon Stewart say affects more people.

Rush's numbers are cooked as well. His "20 million listeners" are actually those who spend at least 5 minutes a week listening to him. His actual audience at any one time is about 4 million.

The Dinosaur networks reach alot more people still then the other medium.

5. I don't know how "viewers" are measured
But I can say from experience that there are many, many different ways Internet "users" can be measured. I might go over to Buzzflash and see if they have any statement on their site about how they get that number.
