Just heard on Scarborough
that Ahnold is saying womens pms symptoms are caused by lunar tides and he's tired of their whining and bitching? I was walking in and out of the room. Anyone else know anything about it?

2. That's not the worst of it.
What about that guy that wrote a book saying South Park is CONSERVATIVE and poking fun at "liberal media bias"?

WTF????

3. didn't hear that
But what's so outrageous about it? Isn't it true that women's menstrual cycles are related to such things? I've heard that if women live together, their cycles tend to become synchronized.

I don't know if the lunar stuff is true or not, but what's so outrageous about it? The "whining and bitching" stuff is another matter.

4. Ah, why is he talking about menstrual cycles as governor?
Scarborough thought it was outrageous. Is the GOP now going to get into regulating women's behavior when they are in a cycle?

6. I don't know... didn't see it
It does seem odd that the governor would be making comments on such topics.

9. Medical expert?
I suppose he has a medical degree? And he must have specialized in gynecology.

11. women's cycles are not related to the moon, but we
Edited on Tue Apr-26-05 03:59 AM by fleabert
are affected by pheromones, which is more likly the cause of sychronized cycles among women who live together or spend lots of time together. Why? I have no idea, but that's the explanation I've always heard. 28 days is the average cycle, but there are many that go shorter and many that go longer.

not sure you wanted that information, but... :-)

5. So now he's a biologist?
I really wish the Sayings of Chairman Ahhh-nuld and other little red books were dumped in the trash where they belong and the people who actually know what they're talking about could get a word in edgewise.

7. BWA!!!!!
Well, um, they thought the moon controlled/dictated women's cycles back in SHAKESPEARE'S DAY!!!

The idjit. Geez, how much out of it can these guys GET?

Hello, HORMONES. And they are not susceptible to the phases of the moon, sorry.

Hey Ahnold, it's called SCIENCE. Look into it. It's neat. Explains a lot. You don't have to rely on 15th century knowledge if you just brush up a bit, bud.

:eyes: Biggest eye-roller I've read all day, and that's saying a lot, considering the Top 10 Conservative Idiots came out today.

What is WRONG with these people???

10. I didn't see Scarborough, but....
I think this must relate to Howard Stern. Arnold called in to his show last week, and Howard had been talking about blowing up the moon, because he said that would do away with tsunamis and lunar cycles, and something related to women's cycles, etc-all very tongue in cheek and not at all serious. When Arnold called in, he was just going along with the joke. Of course, freepers (and murderers) like Joe have NO sense of humor and ALWAYS take things out of context, but I don't understand why Joe would be dissing another Repug.hmmmm..

14. He's just pissy because Maria wears pants now
Edited on Tue Apr-26-05 07:31 AM by FLDem5
"I hate pants. This is something I have inherited from my father. He despised pants, and my mother was never allowed to wear them at home. We're talking about a different time period now, when the man was much more the ruler of the house. But I still feel that way, and neither my mother nor Maria is allowed to go out with me in pants." -- Arnold Schwarzenegger

She started wearing them again after the whole "affair" thingie.

15. pig
different time period, that instead of dismissing cause it is stupid, he keeps it alive

and his comment about women was merely to diss them. no it isnt a giggle, and wouldnt have been a giggle if an offshoot from stern. simply to dismiss a womans voice

these arent tough ones

kinda like grabbing any part of womans body cause he feels he has the right and what the woman feels doesnt much matter

16. do you remember when they tried to use the
menstrual/emotional thing to explain why women weren't fit have jobs other than nursing and support in the military.

Like men never have bad days!! Not that I'm saying it is, but if it is cyclical, you can anticipate and work around it.
