They had a Press Conference last night. It was on C-SPAN. You should see it. Murtha was pissed. He is extremely conservative democrat, stood by bush's war all the way. They were calling for resignations

KICK back to the front page for this.

:kick: for the people standing by the Progressives but being abandoned by the party and marginalized by the "New Dem" Party! Just like when they stood up for Gore and against Clinton's impeachment.

Proudly.
No bullshit....no whinning about political expediency.

It is this simple:

No more money for your con-job war!
The NeoCon liars need to get out of town (along with their sycophants in Dem clothing)!

18. Great find...
I love the phrases:

  • ...if left unquestioned therefore, congressional acquiesance to the proposed appropriation will amount to another blank check!

  • ...should provide an accounting of the previously appropriated funding... including private contracts...

  • we need to KNOW the criteria for success that must be met (re: to pull out of Iraq)

  • ...we ask these questions of the Bush administration with the respect that should exist between co-equal branches of our government... (IMO, a clear message to Smirky that he's not the king around these here parts!!)

  • I like the call for separate voting on the monies, too: what's needed to support our soldiers, and what's needed to rebuild the infrastructure. I think we'll open up a whole can o'worms if that ever comes to pass.

Some people are just better able to follow their conscience instead of political expediency.

    20. Damn...
They do not mince words, unlike the other namby pamby, mealy-mouthed motherfuckers who are afraid to stand strong because the re-thug-licans will be offended.

The chairman said, "$87 billion dollars isn't chump change; that's a whole lotta' money!" Simple... and so true!!

They even mentioned the soldiers' complaints of not having the basics out in the field (because of no-show contractors)! Then he got indignant (and dismissive) with the lazy questioning of their "support" of our military.

"coherent answers to simple questions!" "the conscience of the congress! *whoo hoo*

    22. The Congressional Black Caucus represents...
...the values and principles of what the Dem party USED TO BE. They fight for the people and what's right...not for their own pollitical careers or corporate cash.

    - Let's just keep the CBC and get rid of the DLC!

    26. You noticed huh'?! ha ha
After carefully issuing the unnecessary qualifier distancing himself from Shelia Lee, he then tries to join the group in condemning the reckless accounting of the public's money.

It was to be expected after the dustup with Pelosi.
