Prediction: If Clark Ends Up On Dem Ticket
Bush will dump Cheney for "health"reasons and run Powell in the VP slot to balance Clark's military experience.

That's my prediction and I'm sticking with it.

1. My prediction
Powell won't accept. Why would a guy be VP when he could've been the P and declined? I say if he dumps Cheney. He'll either put Condi or Guilliani on the ticket.

3. Another thing
Bush has alienated the moderates and the left in the US so much that no VP candidate would help bolster their support for him. If he dumps Cheney, he would upset the right. He would have the worst of both worlds. I think Bush is stuck right now. If he dumps Cheney, it's an admission that the "Bush Doctrine," which is all he has done in his first term, was a failure. He would have nothing to run on in the election.

Prediction: Cheney stays.

5. Lightbulb thought: He can't get rid of Cheney
As far as I know it's pretty difficult to fire your boss. And Cheney runs Bush, not the other way around.

6. Exactly.
The only way Cheney would be dumped, is from a heart attack.

7. Besides, the PNAC controllers won't let that happen.
They want their Head Boy (cheney) in place right where he can serve them best.

8. I think Bush is going to dump Cheney regardless...
There's a reason you never see them together and it's not "security"..
Bush did not like the way Uncle Dick made him go hide in a hole over in Nebraska on 9/11. He just doesn't want to show his true feelings in public. Cheney is gone.
