Freeper Kid In NewZealand
Heck I cant stand kids like this. There is this eight year old boy here in NewZealand who is starting up a petition to get the video game "Grand Theft Auto" banned.

Now I personally wouldnt buy this video game, but this kid is going to grow up to be a freeper.

The game is rated R18 here in NewZealand so no one under 18 can buy it, but according to this kid thats not good enough.

"the game is sick and should not be played by anyone, kids in my class started to chase me and pretended to shoot me, I want it banned"

It was more his body language, and his attutide, he actually thought he had the right to tell us what video games we should be playing, and he had a total freeper look about him.

Some MP (member of parliment) is helping him, telling him hes doing a great job.

2. If he doesn't like how the kids are treating him
he should complain to the teacher or some higher authority. He can't tell a company or store to stop selling a video game. If people want to play that type of game they will. They have raitings on there for a reason.

3. Isn't that the one where women are run over and punched out?
I hope there is at least an 18+ regulation on that.

It's the Ozzy Osbourne rationale all over...
Kids in my grade school used to chase me and pretend to shoot me but that was 40 years before video games were invented!

4. Unfortunately, I've met liberals who feel the same way...sigh.
Edited on Sat Apr-23-05 09:05 PM by Ladyhawk
I don't play that particular violent video game, but I do play other violent video games. As far as I'm concerned, that's my business and other people should mind their own.

I got lambasted at a "From Violence to Wholeness" meeting for liking Lord of the Rings and video games. I gave the meeting two chances and both times I was the lone ranger. Meeting one was Ladyhawk the atheist against the Christians. Meeting Two was Ladyhawk the atheist against the Christians who didn't want me to play violent video games and watch Lord of the Rings. Sigh. These people were supposed to be liberals--you know, live and let live. My first clue should have been that the meeting was held in a church. Sigh. :(

I want to support liberal Christians, but when they act just like their counterparts on the right, I get suspicious. Anyone who tells me how I should live my life when I do nothing to hurt anyone else...sweet Jesus, it just pisses me off beyond belief! I had an entire lifetime of "do this; don't do that" and I'm sick of it.

9. This training session was supposed to make me feel less violent. :D
By the end of both sessions I felt like I'd gone several rounds with Ali during his prime. I decided to forget the whole thing. I'm doing fine without such nonsense.

6. Well legally here i'm pretty sure that someone under 18 cannot purchase it
without an adult present. I'm not for banning i'm for idiot parents being more aware of what they buy thier kids. Don't punish everyone. I don't play any video games because in truth watching them for awhile makes me dizzy but i have a 10 year old and the most hardcore game she has is Spyro the dragon.

10. Should have told the kid that you doubted it was the game that made
the other kids chase him, it's his personnality...

You know it's been rumored by former class mates that Richard Perle was picked on, chased and teased....
