Where did the happy, happy Dow go from yesterday?
Edited on Fri Apr-22-05 02:33 PM by Pirate Smile
Down 145 with less then 30 minutes to go.

Possibility of Korea nuke tests and CostCo #'s is the blather they are mentioning on CNBC.

Oil prices are up also.

1. Not unexpected
People are taking profits after yesterday's gains, not being convinced that the outlook is really favorable. I wouldn't be surprised to see it go up and down quite a bit in the next couple of weeks.

Hopefully yesterday's rise wasn't just a dead cat bounce.

5. That would be a conflict of interest
We can count on Bush not doing anything to conflict with the oil interests.

6. Hey, are you trying to hurt the troops' morale?
You KNOW how the troops get when people bad-mouth Commander Bunnypants! Cut it out, or . . . Or, uh . . . Well, just cut it out!

8. No, I'm not. Great time for BushCo to be trying to sell his Social
Security privatization plan.

Don't give up, Georgie! Keep going!

10. There was some struggling nit-wit from Schwab on the CBS am show.
this morning. She looked like she was dressed to go out dancing. I think she had just come in from some all-night celebration and hadn't had a chance to change into pinstripes.

Her sales pitch for stocks sounded real tired. Like an old vinyl LP that had been spun too many times. None of the boys upstairs want to show their faces on camera, so they let her do it.

Talk about bad timing.
