History repeating itself...Democratic talking points
September–November 1620
The Pilgrims leave Plymouth Harbor in England on a ship called the Mayflower. They seek freedom in America to worship the way they want.

All we have to do is go back to the beginning to remember WHY our forefathers endured the long journey to America and why they fought for our independence. It was very simple then and it is very simple now. Keeping religion personal is the foundation of our country...we can't let the neocons redirect the very essence of what our country has stood for for over 200 years.
Is this a call to arms? It should be, metaphorically speaking.
Non-Christian's are being persecuted as well as true believing Christians who do not follow the twisted logic of the radical right.
Our Constitution is being held hostage in the name of their Christianity.
It's time to REMEMBER why our country exists. They didn't seek asylum to practice Christianity...they sought asylum to worship the way they wanted.

1. If this was actually the case...
What the FUCK was Cotton Mather's problem? And William Bradford? Read "Sinners in the Hands of an Angry God" to get the answers.

Not to sound too politically incorrect, but I don't ever remember reading about Ali Mohammed, Sol Goldstein, Balwinder Singh or Bao Nguyen arriving on the Mayflower...they were ALL Xians in some way or other, and many shared the same fundamental religious intolerance they sought to escape...
