would politics even exist if the money was removed from it?
could there ever be such a thing as a politician who works as a public servant for the honor of the thing, instead of seeing how much money he can suck out of it?

a politician who refuses all special interest money, refuses to meet with lobbyists, lives on minimum wage, with his rent and food and neccessities paid for by we the people. a modest house and car, no expensive junkets to exotic places, no limos, no baronial splendor, no governor's mansions, just a guy or gal who wants to serve his or her country for the honor of it, not for the profit of it.

not in this dimension.

1. Well, let's don't forget that
power is also a nice little aphrodisiac.

Money is just a means to the power.

3. It sure would be nice to find out.
But, then, it would be nice to go to heaven without having to die.

4. Getting money removed from it would be a great thing.
And there is much that can be done to move in that direction. But we will never be able to completely remove money from politics. The best we can hope for is to reduce it's influence.

But to answer your question: Yes, politics would exist even if we succeeded in removing all or most of the money from it. There is so much at stake that people will always figure out ways to manipulate the system.

8. "Would money even exist without politics?"
Let's remember that money is a creation of political power. It is a mechanism to control and enslave a population in service to the elite. The elite create the money and then make rules to insure that money is a tool to serve their interests.

"Econimics" is synonymous with "The interests of the elite"
