Redistribution of Power!!

Conservatives like to use the term "redistribution of wealth" when describing the progressive economic philosophy. I think a more fitting description of what progressivism/liberalism is all about would be the redistribution of POWER. If you think about it, wealth is involved when it comes to how powerful somebody is, but the concept of power is much broader than that.

One of my core political beliefs is that there should be a limit to how much power or control one person or group has over another person or group. For example, there should be a limit to how much power a landlord has over a tenant, an employer over an employee, a record company over an artist, etc. I think that a redistribution of power would be the best way to ensure the greatest amount of personal freedom for all Americans.

about it a lot recently. Conservatism seems to be there to help those in power, while progressivism/liberalism is there for everybody else.

5. I prefer the frame of "social justice"

The words are less threatening. I appreciate the principals you're on
about, and they all come from justice. As a political thing, justice
is much more saleable, than any kind of "redistribution". Though indeed,
the latter may be the manifestation of the former, we are inclined to
be open, universally, to justice, whereas redistribution is something
many people are uncomfortable with as it is threatening, and voters
are never sure, given past political experimental disasters.
