He seriously looks like he has gone over the edge. He started yelling, waving his arms and spitting when he talked.

He said even if Iraq turns out a failure, it was worth it, because it was optomistic to try to do something. He is insane.

3. freidman has lost it
he has become condescending in his views of the arab/muslim world. and it's worse coming from him since he is a liberal and should know better.

4. Thomas Friedman is Insane
I didn't see him, but I've seen enough of his NYT columns to know that he is losing it.

6. It was wryly amusing

PBS showed that interview last night here in the Boston area, so I don't remember everything clearly. (The rest of y'all will be seeing King Abdullah- who looks like a businessman you'd walk by on the street without a second look- talking with Charlie tomorrow- not a good interview, imho, because Abdullah didn't make the effort to point out all the necessary and important distinctions Charlie doesn't get between American and Middle Eastern affairs.)

Shorter Tom Friedmann: Iraq is a disaster and the Bushies are f-ups, but something magical is going to happen and everything will end up Good. All we really have to do is train Iraqis to be nice troopers and give someone enough money. And we should really spend lots of money, really, and it will just all get Going Again.

And yes, these days I watch Charlie Rose mostly to follow his not exactly steep learning curve. After refusing to accept his guests' claims that Iraq really is a disaster for about a month, he finally took Tom's word for it. Then they sat together like teenagers, kind of frightened that they couldn't think of a realistic way out of the thing that would lead to a good ending to it either.

8. He makes me tired..
No matter what, he spins his "Dr.Phil-ish" babble..Someone could lob a nuke into the middle east, and he would still be coming up with trite little vignettes about how this could actually turn out to be a good thing..

He is in love with his own voice.. Maybe he can co-host Luntz, the Duntz' new show on MSRNC..:eyes:
