http://www.zabasearch.com/ You can find info on anyone for FREE by just knowing their name and the state they live in. If you'd like to be removed, send your name, address, birthdate and phone number to [e-mail] and tell them you'd like to be removed.

If you read that SFgate article you'll see that it may be something of a scam removal. Possibly all it would do is confirm the info for them.

Funny thing though, when I checked my name it had some info on me, but had the wrong birthday. Wierd, eh? Thankfully it had none of my current phone numbers.

2. It had all of my information

correct and what was even worse is it also has my teenage daughter's info. I read where even if you opt out, they can add your info back in. I figured it was worth trying to get removed.

4. Where do they get the info?

I ask because the phone # they have for me is a fake # I only use when ordering merch. off the 'net.

5. They are asking for $$ for a "background" check.

I don't see anything about me...for free! How are you guys coming up with the freebies? They've got several addresses for me...some of them accurate in the past, one present. But that's all I'm getting for "free".
