I saw this bumper sticker today. I couldn't believe it!

Don't you think, on an average, that sort of thing really turns people off?

Shouldn't all of us get some of these and plaster them all over everything, since they represent the truth so well?

That is not an American flag, has nothing to do with the American flag and anyone who would display that atrocity is not a patriotic American. If they had taken an American flag and resown it or altered it with little "W"s then that would be in violation of the U.S. flag code.

8. I think most people are getting very uncomfortable with W worship

It is getting very, very unsettling. When people worship another for no apparent reason, then the others around them start to wonder what the hell is going on. There may be those that voted for W for a variety of reasons, but aren't huge supporters. In light of the downward spiral of the US in just about every area, most of the public is thinking "Uh, oh." Those W freaks are just getting more and more creepy to more and more centrists.

for instance. They seem at odds whey then *don't* have someone to worship. The right does not hear that different drummer -- if they can't march in lockstep, they can't march at all.

Right-wing leadership has figured this out, and is playing all these saps like fiddles.

In the end, it still seems like a numbers game -- that it will require more independent-minded voters to force out the right-wing lever-pullers who are running the country into the ground.

9. This is why defacing the flag is effing *illegal*

That bumper sticker is illegal for two reasons: it is not permanent and is placed where it can become dirty on a regular basis (actually, that's all flag bumper stickers); and it distorts one of the flag elements (in this case the field of stars). Man!

I positioned myself so he could see me in his outside rear view mirror, and his window was open, so I shook my head NO real distinctly at both stop lights. I'm pretty sure he saw me. I think he laughed.

20. A bumper sticker like that is going turn off some moderates

especially with the economy going in the tank. I would imagine some of the swing voters are having second thoughts about W.
