Nike admits to abuses in its factories
"New York:
Nike, long the target of sweatshop allegations, has produced the most comprehensive picture yet of the 700 factories that produce its footwear and clothing, detailing admissions of abuses, including forced overtime and restricted access to water.

The company has published a 108-page report, available on its website, the first since it paid $US1.5 million ($1.95 million) to settle allegations that it had made false claims about how well its workers were treated.

For years activists have been pressing Nike and other companies to reveal where their factories are in order to allow independent monitoring."

1. Water?
Restricted access to water? Are you kidding?

I haven't bought Nike in years...These f*cks, along w/ all other sweatshops, don't deserve my money.

Unfortunately this report won't make a dent in their profits.

2. Ain't capitalism great?
Exploitig poor people to sell vastly overpriced junk to gullible "fashion conscious" Americans who just have to have a "swoosh" on their tootsies to fit in.

Nike will undoubtedly pay Michael Jordan millions to counter the unAmerican idea that them durn furriners deserve to be treated like human beings.

3. I REFUSE to buy anything Nike
There are much better running shoes (Brooks, for example, who concentrate on running shoes) and sports clothing.
