1. first quarter earnings results.....concerns about the deficit
from the feds.

crude oil prices seems ot be coming down tho, and there was soem positive earnigns news - it will be back next week.

It's tanking because there's really no reason for it to be that high in the first place other than herd behavior.

8. PEs aren't THAT bad.
It's not like 2000(the S&P 500 had a 45 PE!) and as a matter of fact this sell off isn't that bad. It's only been 10% from the recent peak and there is at least one 10% correction virtually every year. Patience is a virtue. I've been bearish for some time on the market in general, but I think outside of technology names things have been good for a while and some companies are good buys right now.

6. Only note I have...the day * was sworn in in 2001 the DOW was at
10,588 and it's at 10,080 right now.

9. Because the bankruptcy bill passed and now the other shoe will drop.
The markets are going down, down, down until the people capitulate. When we have lost everything, the trillions of dollars stolen from our government and sent overseas will come back into the markets. These crooks will buy up everything for pennies on the dollar and they will own America. The people will be trapped in bankruptcy and forced to work for nothing. Revolt!
