1. Bad poll.
I do think the bankruptcy laws are abused! But not by the people who are targeted with this new bill.

Sure, there are some individuals who abuse the BL's but they are a very small %. The ones who abuse the laws are mostly irresponsible small business owners who try a venture, fail, file bankruptcy, and then start another...well aware that their out is just to file again!

Believe me, I worked for many years in the accounting area where I had to attend many hearings, and I heard these folks talking in the hall before court.

6. You slightly misinterpreted my statement. NOT ALL
entrepreneurs are bad or wrong. Most try very hard to succeed, and many do. The problem With this new law, as I see it, is that it doesn't have any impact on the "Incorproated" abuser.

As an example...I worked for a manufacturer and supplier of cosmetic products. We were cautious about extending credit, but after several months of decent payments, we would increase the credit line. The most recent bankruptcy hearing I attended was in Dallas. I arrived at the court house about 15 minutes early, and was waiting in the hall for the judge to open the court. Slowly, others began arriving, and some knew each other. You can't help overhearing conversations, and this one guy was obviously talking to his attorney. The atty asked him what he was going to do now? He responded, aw shit, same thing I did the last four times. I have a line on opening a restaurant. I'm gonna try it. If it don't work out, I'll call ya. This bankruptcy thing is really great ain't it!

Now you tell me I should have a different attitude!!!!

Those are the kind of people I wish this new bill hit, and hit hard! But as far as I can tell, it has no impact at all.

5. what a(nother) st-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-pid poll
of course there is abuse.

But is there such egregious abuse to warrant scrapping protection for consumers? Of course not.

Class war propaganda.
