1. I'm shocked! So many smokers!
Where are all the "nanny-state" liberals?

Longtime ex-smoker here. Don't miss'em at all.

3. I smoked for over 30 years...
I was up to about 2 packs a day. I have one every great once in a while now.
Probably less than a dozen in the last 5 years. I mostly don't think about them
any more, but every now and then, the opportunity presents itself, and I give in
to the urge. I need to quit doing that too.

Funny thing is, I can't stand to be around the smell of second hand smoke anymore.
We actually got up and left a restaurant the other night before we were even waited on.

6. Thank Goddess I Never picked up that particular habit.
I'm sure I would have had a hell of a time quitting. My dad died of lung cancer- camel unfiltereds, apparently because in the '40s and '50s, filters were for "pussies"...

Ironically enough, I think the reason I never started smoking cigarettes is because when I was in high school, I didn't feel there was enough time in the day to smoke anything- besides pot.. Which, I eventually found out, was a hell of a lot easier for me to quit than lots of other habits.

14. I've been smoking for 35 years and am amazingly healthy, but-
I don't recommend that anyone begin because I'll be the first to admit--it's very addictive.

15. Nope; I've never smoked or done illegal drugs
I do enjoy my alcoholic libations, though (and only if I know I'm not driving or operating heavy machinery afterwards :) ).

19. I smoke about 20 cigars each year
Mostly during the summer.

Nearly every cigar I smoke is over $5 (but some quality cigars can be had for a lower price).

My favorite cigar costs about $25 a stick.

22. Smoker here, but have wanted and tried to quit
for many years now.

I have sucessfully given up any and all other vices I have had over time... just can't break this one...

ARGHHHHHHH!

FYI, have tried gums, patches, cold turkey, therapy, support groups, and others.

Only things I haven't tried is hypnosis and accupunture.
