ALBERTO GONZALES IS SOFT ON TERROR!!!!!!!!
Edited on Wed Apr-13-05 07:14 PM by Walt Starr
By accepting a plea bargain from Eric Rudolph when the Justice Department had an ironclad case against him, Alberto Gonzales has proven beyond any reasonable doubt that he is SOFT ON TERROR, and as a trusted appointee of George W. Bush, the SOFT ON TERROR label must also extend to Bush and the entire REpublican Party.

They had the man dead to rights, could have sought the death penalty, but caved in to a terrorist and showed terrorists the world over, the Bush Administration and the Republicans are all talk and no action when it comes to terrorism.

That is correct.

Everyone ought to shout it from the rooftops. Don't let them get away with their racist equation of "Muslim" to "Terrorist."

Will our leadership have the balls to call them out?

You'd think they'd have said they were soft on terror for not finding bin Laden, too.

10. Absolutely correct.
If he wasn't a white christian, we would have never heard about it. He would probably already be in Guantanomo, isolated from legal representation or the media. They would have tortured the information out of him about the dynamite, and stuck him in a 5 by 5 pitch black cell until he rots.

This is racism, it is political positioning. This is sending a clear message to other white christian terrorists that this Administration will hold you above the law thats used to hold, kill, or torture dark skinned or muslim people.

Its fucking outrageous.

11. we live in WNC
if Rudolph had been a Muslim and Murphy was a Muslim community, I would bet that many of the Muslims in the town would have been rounded up for 'questioning' and detained indefinitely.
As it stands, the "Christians" who no doubt helped him evade the law, will remain unknown and unnamed.

12. Christian terrorists are more a domestic threat to the USA today
If they were going to deal with this Christian terrorist, at least Gonzalez should have forced him to give up some of his brethren in exchange, if Rudolph had been Arab/Islamic, Gonzalez would have had it tortured out of him in Cuba.
