NPR admits Democratic tactics on Social Security are working.
http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=4584634

They are talking on the same page now. They quote Harry Reid and others who say that Democrats are not going to offer a plan right now. Reid makes it clear they won't talk until the president takes the privatization off the table. Then they will discuss the outyears after 2052....and I love the way he makes it sound like a maybe.

Several others are quoted. Only one deviates even a little. I am seeing a difference here.

They are following the same line as Dean spoke in an interview last week with WJLA in DC.

Dean: ...."The Republicans worked very hard to get a majority in the House, the Senate, the presidency, and the courts. It is now their job to come up with policies that work."

(Interview segment begins about 11:50 into the program.)

3. The plan is as follows
Make Mr. Bush Jr. put his money where is mouth is i.e. put out a plan instead of an idea. The problem the Democrats has been that Mr. Bush Jr. says something so the Democrats react with a plan and all of the Republicans say the Democrats are so and so's while pushing a hideous agenda. This time the reaction is, "OK lets see a plan, then we will talk. Oh by the way, no private accounts!". That took the wind out of Mr. Bush's Jr. sorry sack sails. This is the way to get somebody from hiding behind a ton of elephant shit.
