I met John Edwards tonight. He was at a town meeting
in Lexington Ky. I got to ask him a question during the meeting and shook his hand and shared some words about our local organization after the meeting.

He spoke mostly about fighting poverty. I asked him about the bankruptcy bill, but first I mentioned the high numbers of foreclosures in March (up nearly 50%). If was a good fit for his talk on poverty.

Here are two images. You can see he has had the cyst removed from his lip.

3. I was really impressed with his
speaking ability. He has that southern politician earthiness about him. He's got a good handshake too.

8. He started off blasting the giveaway to the credit card companies
He then said we need to take back congress to repeal the changes. He then spoke of the downward pressure on wages and job loss that is putting people into bankruptcy. From there he spoke of the minimum wage and issues around that.

5. Thanks for the post
Good to know that Edwards is not fading from the public eye.

Perhaps he will establish a better track record for 2008, and I will vote for him and contribute to his campaign - again.

6. I hope he runs in 2008
I really, really like Edwards. I feel like he really understands how middle-class Americans are getting FUCKED OVER by the Republicans.
