2. He was very nice to Clinton

And Clinton is really looking and feeling much better since they fixed his post-op lung problem.

It was a nice interview.

BTW, Brian Williams always seemed more Dem than Repub up until a couple of years ago, when the entire media just decided to shift right another thirty degrees after 9/11.

Touching base with Clinton.

A little talk about the Pope.

Short thing on how Clinton and Bush senior getting along so well. Tsunami, Pope, Clinton sleeping on the floor. That really seems to impress the media. Clinton seems a little embarassed by it, after all who wouldn't give the bed to someone twenty years their senior.

Then a short update on his health. Again, Clinton looks better than he has in six months, since before he went in for the cardiac operation.

I would like to see something more indepth for a longer amount of time, but I liked it.

6. Williams did a short segment on the Repub 'Schiavo memo'

He described the memo in which Reublicans talked about the political advangage they could get from the Schiavo conflict.

Then said how Republicans had been saying it was a fake, cooked up by Democrats.

Then how it was traced to an aide of Florida Congressman Mel Martinez and was indeed of Republican origin. The aide has resigned.

Just thought it was worth a mention that NBC actually covered both the Republican embarassment and their attempt to cover it up by blaming their actions on Democrats. I'm not sure .. does that make it an example of 'liberal media' ... or just the truth?

7. It came off more like a white wash than anything else to me

13. Nice of them to cover for Martinez as much as they could

the friggin' aide was Martinez's LEGAL COUNCIL. This wasn't just some staffer. This was the guy who was supposed to know better. This was a key person an Martinez's team. Martinez had to know wtf was in his pocket because his LAWYER gave it to him.

8. My respect for Clinton continues to grow

He's such a decent and kind human being. And there's nothing pretentious or put on about him, unlike the Bushes.

9. I can't bear to listen or look at him - mostly because the the Clinton

dirt he so fervently and contemptously delivered to the world. He is despicable in and of himself even if he were not with NBC.
