... courses he taught--involved a PAC he ran, and he diverted proceeds from the foundations he ran for political purposes instead of for purely educational purposes, involving two foundations he controlled--the Abraham Lincoln Opportunity Foundation and Earning for Learning.

Now why can't we get rid of Delay and why is the Dem Party not using this information? And please remind me once again, why did we impeach Clinton? For lying about having a romp with an intern because he didn't want his wife and daughter to hear/know about it.

In all our history never has a president been excoriated for having a mistress. Just look at the last few and it is enough to see.
I'm not even going to waste my time with names of Prez's or their mistresses.

9. My guess is that it's just playing politics...

... and that the demo powers that be are hoping that the Texas press will dig up enough dirt on DeLay through Ronnie Earle's efforts, and that DeLay will get more desperate over time, to the extent that he'll hang himself if they give him enough rope. That way there's less of a taint of partisan politics.

We'll just have to let it play out over time and see what happens. If the Dems give him a pass after the crap that's coming out lately, they deserve more than just a verbal paddling. :)

6. Newt self destructed by

1. bringing up the Monica matter 2 weeks ahead of the election. Clinto countered with: Everyone likes BJs, even Pubs when they can get one. BJs are better than NoJobs....

2.Forcing Clinton to cave in re the budget, Newt allowed a Gov't shut down to happen and it backfired on his ass.

3. For lying to the American People with his Contract for America..
Term limits them pubs promised melted after 2 years...they all wanted to run again....

4, for serving his wife divorce papers while she still in the hospital recovering from cancer surgery....what an ass.

5. For having no Values the Pubs like to talk about....

6. for being a Pompous Creature from the Irky Lagoon..... Arrogant too.

7. and last, for having no vision, no plans, no concept, no understanding of what makes this Country Great and how we can improve her. He is void of Ideas....er, the GOOD KINE.....he has only self interest shit on his agenda....

10. Newt was my congressperson

he ran for reelection was won overwhelmingly then stepped down becuase of the Monica deal and tbhe internal power play. Delay is a criminal and belongs in jail while Newt just self-destructed. He was a flamethrower in the minority and thought he could act that way in the majority. He found out otherwise. Too bad we don't have a flamethrower.
