BLAST 391 National Media to Cover the NATIONAL ELECTION REFORM CONFERENCE

http://www.independentmediasource.com/voteintegrity.htm
----------------------------------------------------

Congresswoman Cynthia McKinney (D-Georgia) has been added as the closing keynote speaker for the National Election Reform Conference. She joins a stellar lineup of speakers and discussion group leaders, conference attendees from 26 states and over 60 supporting organizations. The conference will be filmed by six documentarians and will be web-cast (audio) shortly after the conference ends. If we can find someone to do it, we will also run a thread reporting on the conference in real-time on DU.

Y'all come. It's not too late to join us this Friday through Sunday as we work together to take our country back. After all, we are the ones we have been waiting for. For more information, go to:

13. McKinney enlisted the services of one of DU's own in her last election.
And that person, an expert on Diebold, helped train volunteers for election day on what to watch for. And, McKinney won her seat back!

3. History is in the making with this conference.
Everyone should go. Nothing is more important in politics right now than the integrity of elections. Nothing else is effective as long as the vote can be stolen.

14. I was listening to a recorded speech on the elections in Iraq.
It was recorded in Olympia, WA by Iraq weapons inspector Scott Ritter, distributed to stations around the country on Alternative Radio. Actually, the theme was about what peace activists need to do to get us out of Iraq, and prevent a US bombing of Iran.

He was talking about how there was a delay in reporting the election results in Iraq, and that they were not reported accurately. He mentioned that a group of 15,000 voters somehow managed to cast 50,000 votes, for instance.

Someone in the crowd yelled out "LIKE IN OHIO!"

Ritter said, roughly, "Yeah, but that discussion would make us REALLY depressed, and I'm trying to talk about Iraq." Not long after, he mentioned something about a failed democracy attempt in Iraq, and again someone yelled out something about OHIO!

I was applauding in my car (even though the speech was recorded half a continent away days or weeks ago)!

19. I think Democrats (and other progressives) have been speaking out...
all along. I think the problem is that not enough of the Dem leadership has done so.

As far as the media goes, WE are becoming the media. Surveys show that more and more people are getting their news/current events from the Internet. This is definitely an unstoppable trend that their increasingly shoddy coverage is only accelerating.

But that's OK. I'll keep giving them more chances to redeem themselves with my blasters. ;)

26. i think the dem leadership has/is doing so
i receive emails from many sources. they are speaking out all over the place. on all the things people are saying they should speak out on. i am hearing it. it is there. now because we dont get the same voice as repugs, thru msm or radio doesnt mean it isnt being said

why i think this is so important, i know thru life, all these years, if you continually say it out loud, not honory reality, that is what you will receive

i heard kerry speak out, about the things we wanted him to speak out on. msm and repug continually said, he isnt saying. yet i hear it. dems on board are saying why doesnt he say it, he did i say. and that is what we created kerry as during the election. it wasnt true. but many see him like that. because media said it, repugs said it and our own dems said it

i think it is about time we start creating who we are in a positive than an election, maybe more will hear
