What do YOU Think Goes On Inside Of A U.S. Military Detention Facility?
Given the vast secrecy surrounding our detention of "terrorists, militants, evildoers", etc., it is nearly impossible for those of us on the outside to have an accurate picture of what goes on in these situations.

We get the occasional description. Got photos from Iraq. How representative do you think they are?

Give me a brief description of what YOU think goes on for a prisoner in a United States Military detention facility. How does day to day life look to the prisoner on the inside? Any ideas?

I find it hard to imagine myself...

1. Basically it's solitary confinement in a prison...
...with no contact with lawyers, judges, or anything resembling Constitutionally-required due process.

The Russians had something similar. It was called the Gulag.

4. I imagine it to be pretty horrible...
lights on 24-7. Never knowing what to expect next. Interrogation. Psy-Op games. No contact with fellow detainees, families, lawyers etc. Beatings. Brutality. Torture.

It makes me sick. It is the culture of incarceration. Add the "need" to get info and you are guaranted to have abuse.

7. Why not just read about the evidence already
Uncovered, testimony already given, and why certain countries are already filing war crimes charges? You need not imagine it, but if you can stomach it, there is plenty of footage, photos and one in particular that apparently drove Sy almost over the edge when he saw it: the one where "we" are raping a kid and he could hear his screams on and on. That is what goes on and after some reading on this and some viewing of it, I had to stop following. There was only so much I could handle and at night, I honestly felt that while in bed I could hear people crying and begging for their lives. I would suggest, if you really really want to know, you do so in small quantities. Start with the documents, not the footage.

9. I believe it is so terrible....
that a normal human being can not imagine it. I am a big fan of horror movies and go to get scared but I do not even want to know what goes on inside these buildings. I am willing to fight for these people to be freed but nightmares about Nazi concentration camps have haunted me all my life even though I am not old enough to be alive when they existed.

I have dreams where I lead all of these innocents into the shower area and they are naked. They are mostly women and children and they are so skinny that their bones are showing through. There is another door at the end of the showers and I go down there to watch. I see the gas coming out above them and I watch as the children cling to the adults and they all huddle there. These dreams are so graphic and have haunted me for years and years. I can not even really watch shows about the Nazis because I am scared they will reoccur. I certainly do not want dreams about these people and what they are subjected to.
