I have to agree with the "weak ass Democrats" sentiments here
I saw Sen. Sam Brownback, (R-KS) & Sen. Jon Corzine, (D-NJ) on Washington Journal this morning.

A caller went on a rant about how ineffectual and weak Congress is. He made a point of contrasting all of the investigations and "scandals" that led to investigations of the Clinton White House with that of the Bush White House. He also was peeved about the lack of policy being created.

Corzine's defense? Well, we passed the Bankruptcy Bill.

Give me a mother fucking break. I wanted to throw something at the telly.

1. Weak or corrupt?
Could there be more behind-the-scenes horse trading than we know about?

2. I keep saying over and over
The game is fixed, and we lost. Not a damn thing we can do. It isn't about 'weak' vs. 'strong'... it's about who can buy who, and meanwhile, we're huffing and puffing away at our TV sets and this board in impotence. Which is why you will do yourself a huge favor and turn the damn thing off for your own peace of mind. ;-)

You know I'm right. :P

6. I don't normally watch
I'm home sick today and was flipping thru the channels.

Normally I'm at work this that time of day.

7. Congress
As presently staffed, the congress is our enemy. Congress should be our focus and we need to throw the bums out. But getting back the means to do so is the first priority, or have we lost that ability?

5. Here's a thought

"A multitude of causes unknown to former times are now acting with a combined force to blunt the discriminating powers of the mind, and unfitting it for all voluntary exertion to reduce it to a state of almost savage torpor."

William Worsdworth, circa 1840

I thought it was wall-to-wall religiously insane and neo-con snake oil salesmen.

9. Yup, there was a Dem who wasn't really there. You didn't see
hime even though he was shuffling his feet, picking his teeth, looking at the sky, and whistling a nondescript tune. Opposition, what opposition? We are all about bipartisanship, especially when it is a safe issue to easily line up behind.

I don't want to hear one word from those who insist that we all need to join hands at the center and sing camp songs. This is getting ridiculous.

11. AAAAAARRRRGGGGH!
How are the Dems supposed to win adherents if their only identity is "the party that lets the Republicans do what they want"?
