Being a teenage mum isn't that much fun
Belgium's public health department currently has a great video on air to warn about the consequences of teenage pregnancies and to encourage people to use contraceptives.
The challenges of a teenage mum are presented as a "The Sims" game. It's fun to look at while driving the message home in a very effective way.

Enjoy

2. That was cool.
My kids could drive me crazy at times, even though I waited to be a parent until I was 31. I cannot imagine parenting at 15 or 16.

No Sleep!!!

After two girls I kept thinking I'd want to try again for a boy, but after a year of 4 hours of sleep a night - hubby's going under the knife - snip snip snip

8. Hopefully they're not dumping grandchildren in your lap!
My teens have made my house shrink...it's amazing. I have seen the truth of the expression "horsing around".

10. The problem is that the new baby often become the grandparents' baby
Edited on Thu Apr-07-05 10:41 AM by theboss
Friends of my grandmother had a "wild" granddaughter. She was about three years younger than me. Anyway, she got pregnant at 16. After having the baby, she kept up pretty much the exact same social life since her mom basically took over the responsibility. Today, the kid is 12, lives with the great-grandparents (because the grandparents got divorced), and probably sees her mom twice a month. Madness all around.
