Remember the rightwingnuttery demonized Edwards for being a *spit* TRIAL LAWYER?

Don't forget, MARTINEZ, he of the "how to make political hay out of Terri Schiavo" talking points memo was a TRIAL LAWYER.
Not just ANY trial lawyer, either...but a VERY BIG TRIAL LAWYER.

GOP hypocrisy on trial in important Senate race

If trial lawyers are so bad, why has the Bush administration dispatched one to seek an open U.S. Senate seat in Florida now held by a Democrat?

The answer seems obvious: It hoped no one would notice.
