34 years ago, George Lucas directed this movie about an underground future where sex is outlawed, and the population is controlled by drugs.

Our politics are dominated by a right-wing culture which longs for the apocalypse and wants to control our every thought and action.

Thou art a subject of the divine, created in the image of man, by the masses, for the masses.

Our working class have become slaves to the giant retail corporations, selling cheap low quality imports so that a status quo can be maintained between the rich and poor. Living wage is a dream long past for most, but we are assured that the carrot of trickle down economics will start to work tomorrow.

As energy prices skyrocket and reduce the living wage of the lowest paid of the workers, the super wealthy benefit from record profits by the holdings they have in the energy companies.

Let us be thankful we have an occupation to fill. Work hard, increase production, prevent accidents and be happy.

As the population struggles to survive without medical assistance or the safety net of Government assistance, the banks wring every dime from the poor and downtrodden and keep them as debtor slaves for life.

But as far as the IDEAS and MINDSETS involved, a lot of people are already there.
If you simply re-edited the soundtrack to insert the word "God" or "Jesus" at appropriate points, the fundies would LOVE it!
